About FedTech
FedTech is a quarterly magazine designed to assist IT decision makers and implementers as they use technology to build a more effective government at the federal level. The premiere issue shipped to 70,000 qualified subscribers in March 2004.

LEE COPELAND
Editor-in-Chief

Lee got started in technology during the dot-com boom and stayed with it through the bust. Over the past 12 years, she's covered business with The Chicago Sun-Times and technology with the Chicago Tribune. She was also a senior editor on the networking and application development beats at ComputerWorld, and covered servers and the channel for Computer Reseller News. She's always on the look out for actionable insights for the IT practitioner to do more with less and get more out of existing technology investments. Her faith in the Detroit Tigers is undaunted by last year's dismal World Series appearance.
VANESSA ROBERTS
Managing Editor

Vanessa has worked on the magazine since April 2005. Previously, she spent 18 years at Government Computer News, as managing editor, news editor and writer. She finds government IT endlessly fascinating because of the technology-mission connection and the driven nature of people who choose federal service. In her former spare time, before her family-of-four years, she liked to read a book in one or two sittings and dive wrecks along the Carolina shores and reefs around any Caribbean island.
RYAN PETERSEN
Senior Editor

For more than three years, Ryan has covered a variety of bases for FedTech and is the first line of defense for bringing on new writers. Ryan was formerly a copy editor at the Kane County Chronicle, the Moline Dispatch and Rock Island Argus newspapers. Against his better judgment, Ryan is raising his son as a Cubs fan.
